Then remove the tile and cut the end pieces to fit. For the fixtures, use tile nippers to cut holes from the adjacent tiles. Save the cap tiles until last. Remove the tile spacers and spread the grout using rubber gloves. Allow it to dry overnight, then use a tile sponge to remove the thin film of grout that has dried on the surface of the tiles. Apply ceramic tile sealant according to the label.

Tools and Metode Shower Installation

How to install shower pan liners is the critical skill for building a trouble-free shower. You do have several options for installing a shower pan. If you want a ceramic shower, the traditional way is still the most common way to build a shower pan. The drain is a special drain with two layers of drain holes. The sheet is run up the shower walls and glued to the shower drain base. The tile is installed over this layer and grouted in place.

Materials to Shower Installation
- Vinyl shower liner-Cut to fit the floor area and extend 10-12 inches up the wall on all sides
- New Shower Drain Assembly
- Roofing tacks 1 1/4"- To secure liner to walls
- Shower liner adhesive
- Vinyl shower liner-Cut to fit the floor area and extend 10-12 inches up the wall on all sides
- New Shower Drain Assembly Treated 2x8 lumber-to be cut for blocking behind liner
- Roofing tacks 1 1/4"- To secure liner to walls Shower liner adhesive



Installation Steps
- If working on an existing shower, breakout and remove old floor, mud bed, liner and remove existing tile up at least 12 inches on all walls.
- Install new shower drain assembly.
- Install the adjustable drain piece to the desired finish floor height
- Mix portland and sand for finished mud bed.
- Installing your shower enclosure is very easy. It all starts with the shower tray. Remember, the shower tray should be evenly placed on the floor because this is the foundation of your shower enclosure, so make sure that you installed your shower tray properly.

Fiberglass or Acrylic Liners, Your local building supply store stocks shower liners ready to install. Ceramic tile cannot be installed over standard fiberglass or acrylic shower pans.
- Tile Ready Shower Pans, If you want a traditional looking ceramic tile shower without the construction of the traditional shower pan, choose one of the tile ready shower systems. Most include wall and ceiling component liners as well as floor liners. Most tile ready shower pans include a vinyl pan with a built in drain.
